A writer and artist born in the suburbs of Sydney, my literary teeth were cut as a singer-songwriter, playing gigs in dive bars and backyards. Although music informs and influences most everything I do, it was upon discovering poetry and its freedoms, that I focused my ears away from the likes of Bob Dylan, and eyes toward those alike Dylan Thomas. Spending afternoons painting in the sun and writing at a lamplit typewriter in the evenings, I see written word and visual art as sustenance, when at times one can be starving for understanding, connection, and expression.
